Milking Machine Maintenance: Small Parts That Matter
Daily milking depends on small parts working quietly in the background. Wheels, hoses, oil and lids may look simple, but they affect mobility, vacuum stability, cleaning routines and the overall comfort of the operator.
Check movement, oil and hose condition
A worn milking machine wheel can make moving the unit harder, while the right milking machine oil supports smoother operation. Short milk hoses and air hoses should be inspected for cracks, stiffness or loose connections before they cause vacuum loss.
Build a small maintenance shelf
Keeping short milking hoses, air hoses and a milk can lid on hand reduces downtime. This is especially useful for farms where milking is repeated at fixed hours every day.
