Product Description
The HAUPTNER Curved Tip and Toothed Kocher Forceps 16 cm is a medium-sized hemostatic and gripping tool designed for veterinary surgery to clamp vessels and tissues with a strong, non-slip grip. Its 16 cm length allows for high control and maneuverability in smaller surgical areas, especially in small animal surgery and closer to the surface.
The key feature of the forceps is the toothed structure at the tips of its jaws, which interlock with each other. These teeth provide maximum gripping power when grasping thick or slippery tissues, vessels, or aponeuroses (membrane layers), and absolutely prevent the clamped tissue from slipping. Due to this strong gripping capability, Kocher forceps are often used on tissues to be removed or cauterized.
The curved tip design allows working in curved anatomical areas without obstructing the field of vision and offers a better access angle to the clamped area. The forceps maintain the applied pressure thanks to its locking mechanism, which is critical in situations requiring prolonged hemostasis or fixation.
The product is manufactured from high-quality stainless steel conforming to surgical standards. This material exhibits excellent resistance to harsh chemical sterilization processes and autoclaving. Manufactured with the assurance of HAUPTNER, these Kocher forceps are for veterinary use only and are a fundamental surgical instrument known for its reliability.
Areas of Use
Strong grip in areas where tissue slippage is undesirable thanks to its powerful teeth. Compression of vessels and tissue bundles (hemostasis) in small animal surgery. Fixation before cauterization or ligation procedures requiring a strong grip. Use in medium-sized and superficial surgical areas.
