Two-Hole Pessua Gem - Flexible and Versatile Control
Product Features
Material: Durable and rustproof metal alloy Design: Two-hole (ring) Pessua structure for different rein levels Muzzle: Movable, articulated center piece supporting the horse's mouth comfort Sensation: Pressure intensity varies depending on the ring where the rein is attached
Product Description
The Two-Hole Pessua Gem is a more compact and precise version of the system known in equestrianism as the "three-ring" system. This gem offers a graduated control mechanism that allows the rider to adjust the pressure on the horse's mouth according to their needs. Its articulated central structure balances the load on the horse's tongue and palate, while the rings on the sides determine the leverage effect.
Gradual Control and Flexibility: The two different holes (rings) on the gem affect the horse's head and neck position depending on where the rein is attached. The upper ring provides a softer contact, while the pressure on the nape increases towards the lower ring, encouraging the horse to lower its head (gather its head). This feature makes the rider versatile for both training and performance riding.
Technical Advantages and Pros
Variable Pressure Levels: Allows for a lighter or stronger leverage effect depending on the rider's needs.
Articulated Center: Adapts to the horse's mouth movements and prevents lockup thanks to its single-joint structure.
Neck Pressure Support: Helps the horse to tuck its nose in and round its back with the use of a lower ring.
Stainless Steel Construction: Made from high-quality material resistant to saliva and moisture for long-lasting use.
Precise Communication: Transmits the rider's hand commands clearly but flexibly to the horse's mouth.
Areas of Use
Training the horse in gathering and correct head positioning; Obstacle jumping training requiring a light leverage effect; Resensitizing horses that have become desensitized to rein aids; Situations requiring different degrees of control depending on the rider's riding level.
